Your body has been through something incredible—growing a baby, giving birth, and adjusting to the demands of caring for a newborn. Postpartum recovery is not just about “getting your body back,” it’s about rebuilding strength, restoring function, and feeling confident again in your body.
Some common concerns I see after birth include pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, constipation, diastasis recti, pelvic or back pain, and scar discomfort.
Pelvic organ prolapse happens when the bladder, uterus, or rectum drop lower in the pelvis and press into the vaginal wall, creating feelings of heaviness, bulging, or pressure. It’s common after childbirth, but with the right approach, symptoms can be improved and support can be restored.
Constipation is also very common in the weeks after birth due to hormonal changes, healing tissues, and sometimes fear of straining. I can guide you in gentle techniques and positions to help your bowels work more easily and protect your pelvic floor while you heal.
Diastasis recti are when the two sides of your abdominal muscles separate down the middle, creating a gap. It often happens during or after pregnancy as the belly stretches to make room for the baby. This can cause a bulge in your stomach area and may affect your core strength.
We’ll work together to rebuild your core and pelvic floor safely, improve your posture, and help you move through daily activities without pain or leakage
I can help gently release and mobilize the scar, improve blood flow, and guide you with techniques that make the area more comfortable. This can help you move more freely, reduce pain, and feel more at ease in your body again.
I’ll also show you strategies for lifting, feeding, and caring for your baby in ways that support your recovery. The goal is to help you feel strong, supported, and ready for all the moments of motherhood.
Intimacy should feel safe and enjoyable—especially after the changes that come with pregnancy and postpartum. If you’re experiencing decreased sensation, pain with arousal, or difficulty reaching climax, we’re here to help. Our sessions are designed to support your return to intimacy and exercise through education, gentle techniques, and movement strategies, so you can feel confident, connected, and truly yourself again.
